TEAM AUSTRALIA PERFORMANCE TRAINING PROGRAM

 

     This site is designed for Team Australia Athletes to provide physical conditioning programs that will be adjusted every six weeks.

     Due to Covid-19 Restrictions, the Initial 6-Weeks will feature "at home" workouts, to constitute about 70% of your total workouts during this time. 

The remaining 30% of your workout will be based upon your individual needs.

    As we move forward as a team into an unknown schedule- preparation remains  important for each Team Australia Athlete.

    I encourage  each of you in this time to continue your development, physically, and engage with your Coaches and Staff on a regular basis.

     The weekly workout calendar involves Running, Lifting and Throwing

WORKOUTS ARE DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR TEAM AUSTRALIA BASEBALL PLAYERS.

 
What is the team goal?  Be the best tournament baseball team in the world.  Here, we are building conditioning models toward that goal.


Pitchers: Your conditioning program may be designed to enable you to pitch 7 innings one day- and 5 the next, or, be up for three innings daily.

Position PlayersYour programs are designed to make you a hybrid athlete- be able to move to alternate positions as games dictate.

 

The Baseball Athlete MUST train specific to movements required and energy systems used in the tournament game.  As we approach tournament play- you won't be asked to run long distance.  You'll never be asked to do mass building workouts.  Power- and Power SPECIFIC to vectors of movement performance are critical.  The exercises contained in your programs are based upon science, not looks.

This site will also be a communication platform for you- to outline areas of focus as we head towards our next tournament date. 

Overall- there are 5 PILLARS of elite athlete focus, and within the framework of this site- we cover these, leveraging outside expertise as needed.
